Sometimes my friends will say to me: “Wayne, why blowupyourTV.com”.
I say to them: “Because television is like a thief in the night.”
It steals time with your family and replaces it with Dog the Bounty Hunter
It steals time doing creative hobbies, like making things or painting or writing and replaces it with Survivor
It steals huge blocks of time away from reality to watch a pale, twisted and inaccurate representation of reality
Television is like a thief in the night because it steals our time
and because it takes reality away form us and replaces it with a
fabricated and contrived substitute for reality that is a lie because
it is not true. Television is like a thief in the night because it is
stealthy. Thieves who work at night do so to be clandestine, sneaky and
undetected until it is too late.
So it is with television.
